When we travel in a bus . There are hand rails to hold for passengers who stand or who move inside the bus. Or when you are getting in or alighting from a bus. But to keep passengers from standing close to the door so that outside passengers do not see the crowd at the entrance and those who get in move to rear for which the helper and conductor keep yelling at them regularly. The hand rails in most calcutta or kolkata buses end short of the Bus Gate area or what ever you call it. It is not by default but by clever or rather insidious design.
How harmful it can be for the child or the young, old , or ladies and even adult males who get in or get out or travel in such buses, stand in a jerkingly, moving in bursts, or stopping suddenly to pick up a passenger from middle of everywhere on the road.
Raise your voice. Bring back the hand rails in proper form. After all its public of Kolkata. And buses are most popular means of public transport.
